FAQ
How is medical oxygen different from industrial oxygen?
Medical oxygen is produced, filled and quality-controlled for use on patients, while industrial oxygen is used for cutting, welding and factory processes. They must never be used in place of each other.
What documents should a hospital or clinic request from a supplier?
Request a gas quality certificate (e.g. a Certificate of Analysis), the relevant licence/registration documents under applicable law, and cylinder inspection records. Check with the regulator or your facility’s pharmacy department before purchasing.
How many hours does a 1.5 m³ oxygen cylinder last?
At 2 L/min, about 10 hours (planning with 80% usable contents). See the full table in the oxygen cylinder duration article.
