Mixed gases (Ar + CO₂ and other blends) for welding
A mixed gas is a blend of two or more gases in set proportions. The most widely used is argon mixed with CO₂ for MIG/MAG welding of steel, which reduces spatter and gives a neater weld than pure CO₂.

FAQ
Why use mixed gas instead of pure CO₂?
In general, mixed gas reduces spatter, gives a neater weld and cuts down on grinding, but it costs more than pure CO₂. Choose according to the weld quality you need.
